Morris Green recently retired from the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness where he was the Coordinator for Youth Health. He’s worked with youth for almost 35 years across a wide range of youth health issues. His earliest work with youth centered on physical activity and healthy eating. His most recent work with government and post-retirement focuses on men’s health, looking at how the pressures and expectations around masculinity are impacting the health of young men, and the connections with sexual violence. In the middle of his career he worked as a journalist for the Gemini and Emmy award winning television show Street Cents, a kids show on CBC that focused on money, advertising and marketing.
