Biography

Award-Winning Speaker, Human Rights Activist, Scholar, Author and Social Entrepreneur. After escaping a decade of abuse as a child bride in a forced marriage, Samra became the top graduate at the University of Toronto. She now serves as the youngest alumni Governor for the University, while pursuing a rewarding career at RBC. Her speaking portfolio includes two TEDx talks, Yale, Amnesty, WE, and Women’s Business Network. Samra created Brave Beginnings, a mentorship program for abuse survivors building better lives. She has been featured in national and international media, impacting millions of people worldwide. Her book arrives across Canada early 2019.
